YHES HOUSE PHILOSOPHY
YHES House is a holistic and client focused service promoting health and well being with a commitment to meeting the needs and upholding the rights of disadvantaged, ‘at risk’, marginalised and homeless young people within the Gold Coast District.
The service works within a context that acknowledges the influence of physical, psychological, environmental and social factors in determining the health status of young people.
It operates within a harm minimisation and educational framework under the principals of social justice (access, equity, participation and rights), empowerment and mutual respect.
The service works to develop non-judgmental relationships that encourage young people to explore options which enhance their quality of life and aims to provide a safe environment for all who access, visit & work within it’s premises.
